
SUPER STOCK TRUCK RULES
A. CLASSES: 5800 lbs. (with driver) 6200 lbs. (with driver)
B. Race fuel, aviation fuel, alcohol, and diesel fuel are legal. Nitrous oxide or combustion accelerators are illegal.
C. All vehicles must have at minimum both front brakes in working conition.
D. Drawbar cannot exceed 26” in height before, during, or after the pull. Drawbar must be a minimum of 36” from rear axel and not extend more than 6” under rear of vehicle. No chains or cables are to be used as hitching device. Drawbar must be rigid in all directions. (On street legal trucks hitch may be adjustable but must be supported by frame behind rear).
E. No gas tanks, fuel lines, or batteries allowed in cab of vehicle unless factory installed.
F. Bar tires are allowed; Tread not to exceed 18” in width.
G. Rear suspension may be blocked; No rear springs required.
H. Weights or ballast must be securely fastened. (NONE TO BE INSIDE CAB) No loose objects in cab. Farthest point of vehicle must not exceed 60” from center of front axle.
I. Engine location: minimum of 9” from back of block to center of front axle.
J. Body, hood, and fenders must meet O.E.M. specifications. Flat beds must meet PA. State inspection rules. Front and rear window glass must be in place.
K. Headers and open exhaust permitted. (May exit under vehicle or through hood).
L. Sheilds on U-Joints are required. U-Joint shields must be ‘/~“ steel, 6” wide. Sides and top of U-Joint Must be covered~ bottom may be open. Shield must be close enough to U-Joint to restrain any broken parts.
M. Blow-proof bell housing on trucks with standard shift transmission or blow-proof blanket on automatic transmission are required. Automatic transmission must be covered 360 degrees with an approved blow-proof blanket. Blanket must cover from the back of the engine block to where the tailshaft bolts to the main housing of the transmission. S.F.!. approved transmission shields will be permited. Engine shields from cylinder head to oil pan required. KILL SWITCHES MANDATORY!
N. The outside edge of the tire on the narrow axle must overlap the center line of the tire on the wide axle by at least I”.
O. No homemade frames; O.E.M. type only. Bodies to be steel and if wheelbase to be stretched, front axle to be instock location as to body used. Rear wheels to be within 6” of center of wheel wells.
